The location was very close to many museums and historical sites, in addition to being close to the Rambla as well. There was plenty to see and do in the area, never a dull moment! We certainly hope to have another opportunity to visit. One could not ask for better hosts than Greg and Erica. They were excellent! They were always happy to give recommendations and were very helpful.

(Original) Rent in Uruguay is professional, friendly and helpful. Erica and Grégoire are wonderful hosts who genuinely care about your entire experience in Montevideo. They greeted us at check-in with homemade bread and a few other goodies for breakfast. They provided a local cell phone for us to use during our stay and were always available to give advice via email when we needed it. We asked them for so many recommendations and they took the time to send us lists of their favorite places around the city. I think I'd be willing to stay in a tent as long as it was cared for by Erica and Grégoire! But the Penthouse is much better than a tent. It is clean, with comfortable beds and pillows, and a fully equipped kitchen. It is in the perfect location to experience all of Ciudad Vieja and the center of Montevideo. If you want to explore more of the city, many major bus routes begin just a few blocks away. Even better, when you want to return to the apartment, just hop one of the many buses going to Ciudad Vieja, Ciudadela or Plaza Independencia. We loved not having to worry about how we would get home if we wandered farther than we had expected!
